One of the most encouraging things about this week’s scripted news is the range of projects moving forward across the UK. There’s a new London-set drama from Guy Ritchie and Rob Williams, a Channel 5 thriller already filming, a BBC Northern Ireland comedy that began through a regional talent scheme and a fact-based series being developed from the families’ campaign around failures in maternity care. Alongside those, Ludwig is already heading for a third series, Netflix and HBO have announced new projects and there has been a particularly busy run of casting, trailers and first looks. I’ve pulled it all together in the latest Scripted Week In Brief - a weekly round-up of the scripted television stories worth knowing. Drops every Sunday. Read the full edition below. Which new or returning project has caught your attention this week?
