There might be a new job market opening for commercial people in Pharma. It's been tough out there for a while, as the usual suspects have been slow to hire and quick to fire. And it's gone hand-in-hand with a really tough M&A drought. Which doesn't seem related. Ah, but it is. Here's how: The tough M&A market has been driving more small pharmas to commercialize. In the last couple of years, companies that would have been working toward a buyout have actually gone on to commercialize. (Largely, I think, because there was no alternative). And investors are starting to notice. And I predict that there's shortly going to be a new strength creeping into the commercialization slides of investor decks. If investor tolerance for longer launches starts to expand, I think this could really change the job market for commercial people over the next 10 years. Opportunities will expand, into new, dynamic companies, likely with smaller teams and a more entrepreneurial feel. Exciting (and encouraging) times. Adjust your behavior accordingly. https://lnkd.in/gYA4j32R
