These are some of the most significant things that screening tools for autism and ADHD tend to miss. When I train psychologists to assess and diagnose these neurotypes, this is why I emphasise how important it is to gather qualitative data. Psychometric measures still matter, but we need to understand their limitations, particularly with our less stereotyped and most marginalised clients. Through my ongoing research, clinical experience, and years spent training and supervising psychologists in this work, I developed comprehensive intake questionnaires designed to fill this gap and capture what our tools often miss. They are the ones I use in my own clinical practice. These intake questionnaires and are designed to give you rich data to draw on in the diagnostic process. #autism #autismawareness #autismassessment #psychologist #actuallyautistic
