Various proposals were made to include significant plots of vineyard in both Puligny and Chassagne under the name of Bâtard. One suggestion was for Grands Crus Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet and Blanchots-Bâtard-Montrachet, but the final decision of June 1939 confirmed the first three but not the last.’ Read the full tasting report via the link in my bio.
