I’m not sure if I shared this already but as I sit here the day after the 250th Independence Day for the United States, for me this is what I want to highlight. The Pope who’s position and legacy pre-dates the 250th Independence Day of the USA by many centuries only to be from the USA and not step foot on this land for this occasion. Why? Because what is happening doesn’t align with those things that the Pope is accountable for and to whom he is accountable to.
