The power of collaboration 💪 that was the motto of the RESPOND Challenge days- Energy & Urban Leaders dialogue bringing together startups, industry leaders, investors&experts to enable innovation solutions enter the market. #Innovation is a popular buzzword such as #resilience. But we managed to dig a little deeper in our ecosystem discussion on future energy systems. 🇪🇺 instead of focusing on European weaknesses let’s build on our strengths. The EU provides the worldwide biggest, integrated energy market (e.g. energy regulation in the US is fragmented on state levels). So in the spirit of #OneEuropeOneMarket let’s scale across borders! 🧭Navigating complex regulatory systems is nevertheless challenging, e.g. SET Hub provides assistance for startups 💶 Access to funding and venture capital is key in order to keep innovators in the EU. Funding application procedures are way too complex and overwhelming. The EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy proposes a comprehensive set of actions in order to make innovators #chooseEurope Some of the ideas mentioned we deal with at Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) Start Up Energy Transition So more then happy to join forces between ecosystem actors to effectively push innovation from buzzword to reality 🤝 Many thanks to BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt for the invitation Maya Volwahsen Paula Lohner (Schmid Schmidsfelden)Florian Nitzinger and to the contributors Dr. Claudia Haepp Dr. Axel Dickenbrok Ingo Janka Dr. Karl-Georg Schlesinger Martin Schichtel Simon Benmarraze Felix Böhmer Lena Sophia Voß Yvan Paquot Pia Dorfinger 📸Photo credit: Stephan Schaar/ BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt
