🧭 Bay Street Builders People Who Shaped the Commercial and Tourism Economy of Nassau’s Historic Waterfront Bay Street Builders is a monthly historical publication by LanQi Global Development / Charles Towne Development, dedicated to documenting the people, families, businesses, public officials, maritime operators, landowners, financiers, builders, hoteliers, and civic actors who helped shape the commercial and tourism economy within the Bay Street–Charles Towne Development Zone. The series will examine the individuals and institutions whose decisions, investments, enterprises, and public roles influenced the formation of Nassau’s harbourfront, Bay Street commercial corridor, port economy, hotel sector, shipping trade, food culture, financial base, and visitor economy. Each profile will be historically grounded, respectful, and honest. The purpose is not ceremonial praise, political attack, or selective memory. It is to document the people who shaped Nassau’s development path, including their achievements, contradictions, influence, and lasting legacy. The first issue will feature Charles Trevor Kelly, C.B.E., and the story of Island No. 701, Kelly Island, and Arawak Cay.
