When Midge Seymour-Roots stepped into the studio, she was looking to celebrate the time she’d spent nurturing herself and witnessing herself grow since her last visit. She was looking for images that spoke on her behalf and rose to the sense of occasion. We spoke about not chasing perfection, but looking for a feeling. The same feeling you experience when you look at your favourite painting from the Old Masters. You might not know exactly why you’re drawn to the image, but something about it feels magnetic.
