Two Latin American industrial giants just proved that corporate travel does not have to be a climate liability. ⠀ Grupo Bimbo and Aeroméxico officially locked in a multi-year Sustainable Aviation Fuel alliance this week. ⠀ This is the first agreement of its kind in the region designed specifically to aggressively tackle Scope 3 emissions. ⠀ Aeroméxico directly cuts its Scope 1 greenhouse gas output by replacing traditional jet fuel with renewable feedstock. ⠀ Simultaneously, Grupo Bimbo permanently erases the massive indirect emissions generated when its global executives fly. ⠀ Certified aviation biofuels can slash life cycle carbon by up to 80 percent without requiring any new aircraft infrastructure. ⠀ We are moving past the era of buying cheap carbon offsets and entering an era of direct, cross industry supply chain decarbonization. ⠀ This is part of my series: 100 days of good news in sustainability. Follow for the data that isn't making the headlines. ⠀ Source:
