We need courageous young minds who dare to push boundaries. Thirty years ago, that person was David Chalmers, whose PhD dissertation became a book titled “The Conscious Mind,” leaving a lasting impact on how we understand (and sometimes disagree about) consciousness. Coming full circle a few weeks ago, I had the chance to experience an amazing VR world where my actions could determine the ending. One of those endings was about reality+ from David Chalmers. It was the final master's thesis of an incredibly talented young VR artist and software developer Jan Schulten. Little did I know that David Chalmers was coming to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his book at the Kunstmuseum in Bochum. That was more than a coincidence - it was the world telling us that hard work, perseverance, and grit can make the impossible possible whenever we let the younger generation dream and create. For those who dare, for those who dream, for those who innovate, and for those who open our eyes. There’s nothing better than new ideas coming to life—whether in a book, a talk, or a VR world.
