Full of nerves and anticipation… but change is part of growth. Next week, I’ll be wrapping up my role as a Regional Project Manager at the North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub. It’s been a real privilege to work alongside the combined authority, local authorities, and stakeholders across the region, supporting projects driving decarbonisation, energy generation, and investment into Tees Valley Combined Authority's clean energy future. I’ve had the chance to collaborate with some incredibly passionate and driven people who are genuinely committed to making a difference. There are far too many people to thank individually, but a few deserve a special mention: Karen Oliver-Spry (NEY Net Zero Hub Manager) - thank you for your leadership, support, and for helping me navigate what was, at times, a very open-ended role. I’m proud of how I shaped it into something meaningful, which makes moving on feel all the more bittersweet. Chris Rowell (TVCA Head of Net Zero) and the TVCA Net Zero team - our catch-ups were always valuable, often taking beautiful tangents that really helped deepen my understanding of the local tees valley context. And to the entire North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub team - thank you for the support, the laughs, and for making settling in so easy… and leaving so much harder. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and, without sounding too LinkedIn-on-the-nose, very grateful for the relationships, experiences, and opportunities along the way. Looking forward to the next chapter at the National Wealth Fund... If anything comes up that might align with my new role, feel free to reach out. It’s always nice to hear from a familiar face. Hubber of the Year — signing off ✌️
