Fully agreed. This backlash has long been in the making. I was a top European lobbyist in China and warned of complacency more than 10 years ago. The investment working group I led was the first team to call for reciprocity in EU-China bilateral trading relationships. We should be clear: this is complacency, not a sudden “China shock.” That shock came more than a decade ago. https://lnkd.in/ekr6t-tU
