LinkedIn is probably not a good place to vent, so I'll make this a mundane LinkedIn advice post instead: be careful to spell people's names correctly on emails. If you want to be perceived as a detail-oriented professional, take the 0.5 seconds it takes to make sure you have it right. Okay I'm going to vent now. My first name (Alastair) is not common, I get it. But it gets misspelled on emails once a day on average, and it drives me bananas.
