For some Latinos, growing up between two worlds comes with a particular kind of balance. Too much of one thing in one room. Not enough of it in another. You're "too American" for some people. "Not Latino enough" for others. And somewhere in the middle, you're trying to figure out who gets to decide that. In my latest episode of #UnapologeticallyLatina, I sat down with the amazing Juliana Londoño to talk about navigating that tension. Growing up first-gen. Being raised by a single mother. Defying the expectations that statistics, zip codes, and other people can place on your future. We talked about resilience. Not the Instagram version. The real version. The kind you build when there isn't another option. The kind that teaches you responsibility before you're ready for it. The kind that follows you into adulthood and shapes how you show up in the world. And we talked about something a lot of Latinos know intimately: What happens when you're constantly navigating spaces that weren't built with you in mind. If you've ever felt caught between cultures, questioned where you belong, or spent years trying to reconcile different parts of yourself, this conversation is for you. ▶️ Check out the full episode this Friday and follow Unapologetically Latina on YouTube 💅 #UnapologeticallyLatina #FirstGen #LatinaVoices #MentalHealthMatters #Bicultural #RepresentationMatters #LatinaLeadership #Podcast Laura Chavez Samí Haiman-Marrero Laura C.
