🌱 Can sustainable crop production be achieved without Integrated Pest Management? On World Pest Day, I'm pleased to share our recent publication on "Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies for controlling potato late blight (Phytophthora infestans) and enhancing potato yield." Our study demonstrated that integrating biological agents (Trichoderma harzianum and Bacillus spp.) with fungicide applications significantly reduced late blight incidence and severity while improving crop productivity. The combined approach achieved the best disease suppression, highlighting the value of integrating biological and chemical control measures rather than relying on a single strategy.šŸ„” Potato late blight remains one of the most destructive diseases affecting potato production worldwide. Our findings reinforce the importance of IPM in developing sustainable, effective, and environmentally responsible disease management programs. šŸŒ On this World Pest Day, let's recognize that the future of agriculture lies not only in controlling pests and diseases but in managing them intelligently through science-based integrated approaches. šŸ“– Read our publication: https://lnkd.in/ddBg3MGq #WorldPestDay #IPM #IntegratedPestManagement #PotatoLateBlight #PhytophthoraInfestans #PlantPathology #AgriculturalEntomology #CropProtection #SustainableAgriculture #ResearchPublication
