I sat down with film director Arabella Sharkey, a recent NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate, to talk about an AI film she recently made with Martini. Arabella is a traditional filmmaker whose work often explores magical realism. Her latest short, “The Kiss of Death,” was created with Martini. The two-minute film was made over several months. It is the product of thousands of shots and weeks of creation. It was not a one-click endeavor. Every character, shot, story beat, angle, production design, and location came from her. The medium is generative AI, but the work is hers.
