After 17 years, it is time for me to venture into new territory. I have decided to leave Nordic Capital to write my next chapter — trading the familiar for the frontier. Focusing on my own investments. Entrepreneurial situations. Backing new ideas whose time has come. When I joined in 2008 to help open the German office, Nordic Capital was a local generalist fund rooted in the Nordics. Over the following 17+ years, it grew into an award-winning global platform, raising > €30bn of capital across highly specialized vertical sectors — backed by an exceptional international organization. Along the way, I had the privilege of progressing from Investment Manager to Director, Principal, and Managing Director. I served as Board member in seven portfolio companies — accumulating c. 40 years of total Board experience — across Germany, the US, the UK, China, Hong Kong, Sweden and Denmark. These years have shaped not just my professional capabilities, but my conviction that the most enduring value emerges where strategic clarity, operational excellence, and trusted relationships reinforce one another. My thanks go to everyone at Nordic Capital, Chairpersons, Board members, Management teams, and Advisors – who made these years exceptional. Deeply grateful.
