I took this pic some months ago on my way to IKEA Delft. My workplace, or should I say; my work home, for 30,5 years. This week I heard that I have to say farewell to my job as from 1 September 🥺 As the Inter IKEA Group is reorganizing, my job will be redundant. In total 850 people got the same message this week - on a total of 8000 office co-workers, around 10% will lose their job. Whether because they are redundant or their jobs cease to exist. I feel with them. I know some of them will find a different role at IKEA, and others will find roles outside of this wonderful company. I'm not sure yet where I will land but I know it will turn out fine ❤️ I will take the time I need to think about my future, but I can only hope I'll find a job with colleagues as dear and wonderful as I had during my IKEA time. Big hug to all IKEA colleagues - you are one of a kind! And special hugs to the 849 colleagues who are affected by this reorganisation. You can handle this 😘💪
