Today we visited the winery Born as well as the grape vines of Prof. Epperlein in Höhenstedt, Salzatal. This excursion was part of the elective module „Wine and Sparkling Wine Technology“ which is taught by Prof. Mike Eberle and Prof. Epperlein at Hochschule Anhalt. It was a beautiful sunny day at the winery where both professors as well as winemaker Günter Born and managing director of Winzervereinigung Freyburg-Unstrut eG, Hartmut Schreiter, talked about challenges regarding the marketing of wines and how to operate a winery. And of course we tried lots of different wines and got to know our favorites.
