It’s been a while since I conducted a poll. And I do NOT plan to renew that habit on a consistent basis. On this nice spring Sunday, with an easy feeling, the lightest of hearts and a bit of silly humor, I decided to follow in the footsteps of Harald Berlinicke, CFA 🍵 — cofounder with me of our Berlin-based #LinkedInBuddies movement — to show different potential “looks.” But I’m going above — or should I say below — and beyond, to impose on the few brave followers here who might be willing to share a poll vote on your preferred (or least disliked 😂) look for my future. A few final words for context. In the interest of radical transparency, I confess that vanity runs broad and deep across my Brocado-Martínez lineage. I won’t list specific names here, since nobody else in my family has signed up for this, but I am by far not the most vain of the bunch. My wife, obviously not genetic heir to that lineage, is anything but vain. Arguably in the right, she considers our vanity superficial, or even non-sensical. But I digress. Which of my previous looks should I go for going forward? Due to LinkedIn’s limitations, the respective pictures to go with each look are in the comments to this post. Going from oldest to newest: (1) Pandemic look. With the excuse of lockdowns and such, I let my hair grow ridiculously long. (2) Happy look. Shorter (still long) hair, no beard.
