Know your why. Remember why you do it. And never feel guilty for working hard to build a better future for yourself and the people you love. My kids were 6 and 8 when I started at a company we had never heard of. Now they ask about people at work, most of whom they have never met. They grew up watching the late nights and hard work behind my journey at Birdeye, and every time I questioned if it was worth it, I thought about the future I was helping build for them and the example I was setting about working hard, accountability, perseverance, taking risks, figuring things out, resilience, and showing up no matter what. Today, seeing Sofia graduate with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Neuroscience(and earn a scholarship to UT Southwestern Medical Center) reminded me: having a “why” and a purpose is powerful and the people in the pic have been and still are the reason I do all of it. Congrats, Class of 2026. Remember that data and science never lie. Ignore the noise, adapt relentlessly, and keep moving forward.
