What are different stances toward data governance in 2026? Based on a comparative case study of four healthcare data-sharing projects in the field of artificial intelligence, we explore this question. We identify a progressive, an integrative, and a protective approach to data governance. We also examine how these stances influence the management of inherent tensions in data sharing for the development of AI solutions. The results have been published Open Access in Information and Organization. https://lnkd.in/gB-DrPxQ Many thanks to the editorial team for the excellent guidance.
