Exactly 8 months ago today, I was told I had 12 months to live. An oncologist looked me in the eye and said I had terminal brain cancer. That kind of moment either breaks you…or it forces you to get very clear about what actually matters. I made a decision right then. I put my full faith in God. No halfway. No hedging. I cleaned up everything...my diet, my environment, my habits. I focused on healing my body and strengthening my mind. I got serious about my “terrain” and how I was living day to day. And here I am, 8 months later. I feel clear. I feel grateful. 🙏 I know this battle isn’t over. I’m not pretending it is. But I wanted to share an update and say thank you. The support, prayers and messages have meant more than you probably realize. Let me also say something that might not be popular on this platform…LinkedIn pushes hustle culture hard. Promotions. Titles. Grinding. Climbing. Always more. But let me tell you the truth from someone who’s staring life in the face… That extra hour in the office doesn’t matter. But it does matter to your family and children. ❤️ And the people who showed up for me weren’t the big corporations. Not the billion-dollar brands. Not the polished org charts and huge marketing budgets. It was the people I was in the trenches with. The ones from the old startup days. The real relationships. The ones who checked in, who cared, who showed up. Meanwhile, from some of the biggest companies I gave my time and energy to…silence. Build relationships where you matter. Where you’re valued. Where you’re not just another cog in the machine. Life is short. A lot shorter than you think. With that said, I’m stepping away from LinkedIn. Wishing all of you success...but more importantly, health, faith and real connection. Take care of yourselves and the people you love. 🙏❤️ https://lnkd.in/e22aBtkc #Faith #Gratitude #LifePerspective #HealthIsWealth #FamilyFirst #RealConnections #CancerJourney #GodIsGood #Priorities #LifeLessons
