Head of Marketing at Partridges

Last week, I had the opportunity to volunteer at The Felix Project in Acton with the Partridges of Sloane Street and Shepherd Foods teams - an experience that was both eye-opening and rewarding. Partridges has supported The Felix Project for almost a year, contributing to initiatives like Felix Fresh and Felix Connect.Β Volunteering gave us a hands-on perspective of the operation by helping sort and distribute high-quality surplus food to charities, schools, and communities, all while tackling food waste. Seeing the scale of impact and how many families and communities benefit from this was inspiring. I am happy to be part of an organisation that encourages volunteering and wants to make a positive difference. Even a small act of giving your time can have a meaningful impact and I am happy to have a played a small part in it. It was a pleasure to meet people with such powerful and personal reasons for volunteering, and I hope we can spread the word. If you can spare just a few hours a week, I’d highly recommend getting involved. A special shout out to our Volunteer Team Leader, Atul Raniga, and our Volunteer Driver, William, for contributing to my valuable experience.
