π Let us appreciate this time "Authenticity and Genuineness" through fiction...a sixteen episodes korean serie : Call it love-2023. π One can say: How can fiction be "authentic"??!! Simply by understanding this quote from Mark Twain : , "Truth is stranger than fiction, ... Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn't". Published in Following the Equator (1897). So, when watching this serie, remember that reality can surpass imagination and real life can unveil both greater nobilities and deeper flaws in human character. For that reason this fiction can be the life of someone else in the world. Who knows? β¨οΈ And do not be deceived by the title: This is a slice of life story depicted with gentle slowness that mirrors everyday life. The serie is directed in an unique way with actors so immersed in their characters that you have sometimes the feeling to intrude, a window to the intimate lives of strangers. While watching it these verses ( Islamic & Taoism traditions)come into my mind. π"Good and evil cannot be equal. Respond ΛΉto evilΛΊ with what is best, then the one you are in a feud with will be like a close friend."/ ."But this cannot be attained except by those who are patient and who are truly fortunate".π πβUnder heaven, nothing is softer or weaker than water; / Yet in attacking the hard and strong, /Nothing surpasses it /Its effect is unmatched./ The weak overcomes the strong,/The soft overcomes the hard. / Everyone under heaven knows this,/But few can practice it..βπ One must consider that what is praised in ancient traditions from West to East can be considered like weaknesses in modern days. Who is right or wrong? It is yours to decide. So, give it a try, at least the first episode. I promise you will take pleasure in it and learn...learn and understand more about sayings, adages like "it's never too late", "virtue endures", "Silence is golden"...
