16 years ago, I wrote my first test case for a banking system. I had no idea that same domain would become the thread running through my entire career. Today, I'm proud to share — I've been promoted to Vice President –JPMorganChase, effective 1st February 2026. But this post isn't really about the title. It's about what the journey taught me. Nobody hands you trust. You earn it — one delivery, one difficult conversation, one crisis averted at a time. Three things I know after 16 years in fintech: 1. The best BAs don't just document requirements. They own outcomes. If you're not accountable for what ships, you're not fully in the game. 2. Relationships matter more than resumes. 3.
