Sports Management (SPMG) at Cal Lutheran School of Management is heavily rooted in Simon Sinek's Golden Circle. 🎯 Why - we believe in educating aspiring sport professionals through discovery; finding their fit to create their success How - we educate through experiential learning components, that are purposefully facilitated via field visits, consultancy projects, competitions, career fairs, network events, and more What - we happen to host a premier Sports Management undergraduate program at California Lutheran University This past weekend, our SPMG's Business of Sports Club (BOSC) conducted its Spring Excursion to San Francisco/San Jose. Students gained firsthand exposure to multiple sports organizations, while building connections with top industry executives. Thank you to Elliot Thornton and Jermaine Johnson II at Bleacher Report for providing insights to creating, strategizing, and managing sports content in the landscape of sports media. Moreover, thank you to Elizabeth Maggi Chance and Ruth Shikada at Bay Area Host Committee for speaking with us on the economic, social, and community impact of hosting some of the biggest events in the sports world (i.e., Super Bowl, World Cup, etc.). Always enjoy hearing about the importance of sustainable business development initiatives. Grateful to Natalia Miller Garcia at the San Francisco Giants for hosting our students for an amazing game experience. Much gratitude to Michael Doherty and Doug Bentz at the San Jose Sharks for giving us a behind the scenes look at SAP Center at San Jose, incredible education on the methodical processes towards sales and marketing, as well as welcoming us to a fun-filled Sharks game!
