A lesson about grinding it out. My son Jack Burke is a full time drug and mental health counselor and getting his masters as well. Necessary and important work. He is also a stand up comic who for 12 years has been working from NYC to Bangor ME - open mics, non paying gigs, events, fundraisers and more open mics in every dive bar he could find. This weekend he was asked to host and open 4,shows (2 at the Wilbur in Boston 2 at the Music Hall in Portsmouth - all sold out) for Jordan Jensen, a national act who has shows on Netflix and recently was in the Bradley Cooper film “Is This Thing On”. She is straight fire. He crushed it. Hard work and grinding it out pays off;) Thank you for reading this proud papa moment.
