Changing the way Europe pays!

Good morning, Back from Merchant Payments Ecosystem; what a week in Berlin. It was great catching up with the industry. We really do have an outstanding community in payments 🫶 . After 60+ meetings and several sessions, here are my key takeaways: - Europe is ready for a European alternative to international payment schemes. The consensus isn’t that #Wero will be the only option, but it must be present at checkout. Demand for Wero is strong across acquirers, issuers, and merchants. - AI is the new “El Dorado.” Agentic commerce will be a major investment focus in the coming years. In payments, we need to keep pace to ensure experiences remain robust and secure. - Fragmentation remains a challenge. Our industry evolves quickly, but fragmentation is becoming a burden for many merchants. While orchestrators and PSPs are helping simplify complexity, further consolidation is clearly needed, and welcomed. #Wero is a step in that direction. - #iDEAL migration is in full swing. Even though only the co-branded logo is required for now, the industry is actively preparing for the transition to Wero. In most conversations with merchants and acquirers, iDEAL is one of the top topics. I’d love to hear your takeaways from MPE this year, and even more, to continue the conversation if you didn't have the chance to speak with EPI Company team present.
