💡Is it time to start factoring immunosuppression into how we design radiotherapy for stage III NSCLC? 👉🏻https://lnkd.in/evzZw9Yx In our new paper: • We developed a pretreatment prediction model for severe radiation-induced lymphopenia in unresectable stage III NSCLC • Developed in the US and externally validated in 3 European centers • Durvalumab benefit was observed in patients with a low predicted risk of severe lymphopenia, but NOT in those with a high predicted risk❗️ This suggests the model can identify patients in whom treatment-related immune suppression is so substantial that we need to change radiotherapy or else durvalumab may be useless.
