As I reflect on last week, one day stood out as a meaningful symbol of the many thoughtful, committed individuals working to shape the future of Nevada. At the Nevada Taxpayer's Association luncheon, the spotlight was on fiscal stewardship and public policy, including recognition of the Cashman Good Government Award and the values of responsible leadership it represents. Hearing from Keynote Speaker Thomas Burns as well as Timothy Cashman strengthened the importance of a long-term mindset and principled decision-making for Nevada’s continued growth. Later, at the She Shapes Nevada gathering, conversations centered on advancing women’s leadership and the importance of supporting one another across industries and roles. It was inspiring to hear perspectives from leaders including Heather Harmon, Mj Maynard-Carey, and Stephanie Bruckner, and to be part of a dialogue focused on strengthening opportunities for women in our local communities. Days like this are a reminder that progress happens when leaders across sectors stay engaged, listen thoughtfully, and work together with good intentions. In recognition of Women’s History Month, I would like to extend a special thank you to Ila Friedenthal for her thoughtful moderation at She Shapes Nevada, and to the International Women's Forum, Nevada Women's Fund, and the Nevada Commission for Women for creating meaningful space for women’s voices to be heard and elevated. #NevadaLeadership #WomenInLeadership #PublicPolicy #LasVegas #CommunityImpact
