Last weekend at Hack Canada 2026, my teammates Nidhi Subrahmanya, Marco Dava, and Vicky Sekhon and I built Networkify — a platform that helps people visualize their professional network and identify the best outreach path to companies they want to work at. The idea came from noticing how many people spend hours sending applications online with little response, even though referrals are often one of the most effective ways to land interviews. We wanted to build a tool that helps people better understand and leverage their network. Networkify transforms network data into an interactive graph, allowing users to explore relationships between people and companies and discover potential referral paths. The platform includes 2D and 3D graph visualizations of connections, interactive nodes that reveal information about contacts, and a recruiter-focused view to quickly identify relevant people at companies of interest. We also integrated an LLM to generate personalized outreach messages, helping users draft thoughtful networking messages based on the context of their connections. We built the project using FastAPI for the backend, Neo4j for the graph database, Three.js for graph visualization, and React/Next.js with Tailwind CSS for the frontend and deployed the backend to Google Cloud. I’m proud of what we built together in such a short time and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with an amazing team.
