A slightly delayed post, but one I’ve been meaning to share. Over the past few months I had the opportunity to mentor two cohorts of aspiring IT professionals in collaboration with talent match africa. 🤝 The programme brought together talented students from across Africa, all working towards building careers in technology and gaining exposure to what working in international organisations actually looks like day-to-day. Having previously worked with teams in Africa myself, it was great to reconnect with that talent and perspective again through this programme 🌍 We also spent some time talking about how AI tools are starting to shape the way people work, and what that means for people entering the industry today - not just understanding the technology, but learning how to use it responsibly and practically in real working environments 🤖 Really proud of the progress this group made in a relatively short period of time 👏 Thanks again to Stephenie Pulis-Cassar for the opportunity to be involved - and wishing everyone from the cohorts the best as they continue building their careers in tech.
