We recently volunteered at SF-Marin Food Bank at the China Basin Community Market, supporting their weekly food distribution efforts, and it was a meaningful experience. What appears simple on the surface is actually a thoughtfully coordinated system. Fresh produce sorted with care. Stations arranged for clarity. A steady flow designed to respect people’s time and dignity. Volunteers stepping in seamlessly where needed. Every action serving a clear purpose. We weren’t just packing groceries, we were contributing to a structure built around access, care, and equity. A sincere thank you to Leslie Forman for encouraging us to step beyond the classroom and into the community. Grateful as well to Manasvi Shah and Gayathri Babu for joining me, sharing the experience made it even more impactful. Thank you to the SF-Marin Food Bank team for welcoming us and for the important work they continue to do across the Bay Area. #SFMFoodBank #FoodEquity #CommunityCare #BayArea #Volunteering #SocialImpact #CivicEngagement #CollectiveAction
