Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to attend Glencore’s Women in Trading Insight Event at their London office. The session provided valuable insight into the structure of global energy markets, which included supply and demand dynamics and risk management on the trading desk. Taking part in the crude oil simulation and responding to live market developments offered a practical perspective on how decisions are made in fast-moving environments. I particularly appreciated the openness of the speakers and the opportunity to learn more about careers in commodities trading. Thank you to the Glencore team for hosting such an informative evening!
