Time flies. A year ago, I was stepping into my first formal leadership role. Transitioning from a small-town background to leading at a scale like Cargill has been a masterclass in culture, systems, and transformation. This article is a reflection on that first year, what we built, what we shifted, and what I've learned about: Culture: Moving people toward a shared vision. Systems: Building for long-term stability. Scale: Handling the complexity of a global enterprise. I'm truly grateful for the responsibility, the team, and the opportunity to lead. If you'd like to see how the journey unfolded, I'd be honored if you took a read. I hope it adds value to your own journey. Happy Black History Month. #Leadership #EngineeringLeadership #SystemsThinking #DigitalTransformation #AIInnovation #BlackHistoryMonth #DataEngineering #FaithAndWork
