If you work with autistic clients, understanding autistic burnout is no longer optional. Autistic burnout is increasingly recognised in the research, yet it is still frequently misidentified in clinical practice. It is often conceptualised as depression, occupational burnout, or “treatment resistance,” particularly in autistic people who are undiagnosed or have internalised presentations. When we misidentify burnout, we risk: • reinforcing masking • increasing overexertion • intensifying interventions that are not aligned with what the client actually needs In this 2.5 hour live CPD webinar, I will walk through: • Current conceptual models of autistic burnout • How to identify burnout in both diagnosed and unidentified clients • Differential diagnosis considerations • Management strategies that are neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed • How to adapt therapy when burnout is present If autistic people are part of your caseload, this is essential knowledge. 🗓 Friday 20 March 2026 ⏰ 11:00am–1:30pm AEDT 📚 2.5 CPD hours 💻 Live + 60-day recording access Registration link is here: https://lnkd.in/gCGtSMyE
