Wow, impressive, Merlin Lauenburg, 10y Tibber in the Nordics, 6y in Germany. Since dynamic tariffs are still somewhat new in the German market, I would like to take the time to reflect on why and how tibber managed to enter the DE market. As in the end, it's always the people. If I am not mistaken, tibber was #1 in the German market. At least, it was #1 when it comes to relevant customer numbers back in 2022 Successful market entry is a superpower: if Marion Nöldgen had not set up the DE company structure as well as a qualified sales pipeline 2y before the actual launch of the dynamic tariff, there would not have been the true hockey stick market entry with the first true dynamic tariff back in September 2022. Thanks to Dagfinn Reiakvam `s patience with the German modern meters (not smart meters!) tibber managed to launch pulse IR, a special IR reading hardware dedicated to the German market, and address 50% instead of below 2% of the German market. Thanks to Anna von Bremen, tibber set up a legal framework that worked around rigid rules and thus enabled the market launch & thanks to Johan Warburg, tibber, an unknown brand and new kid on the block, managed to enter relevant business partnerships. Startups are dynamic & people move on. That's why Merlin's flashback is the perfect moment to reflect on successful teamwork at the right moment at the right time. Thanks to all tibberinos involved for this pretty special product launch back then 💥 💫 We did a great job! Hana Wilson Laura Schlensak Raphael K.
