Professionalism as Worship & Afterlife ROI. If your career ended today, would your legacy be measured in spreadsheets or in souls? We spend our lives optimizing for the "now", climbing ladders, hitting KPIs, and navigating the professional hustle. But today, listening to Imam Dr. Omar Suleiman, I was reminded that the most important ROI isn't found in a bank account; it’s found in the enduring legacy of the afterlife. I was moved not just by the Imam’s wisdom, but by the atmosphere! Thousands of people, representing a vast mosaic of nationalities and languages, sat in a profound, mystical silence. In a world of constant noise, this collective attentiveness to one faith and one God was a powerful testament to our shared humanity. Our religion doesn't separate the cubicle from the prayer mat. It establishes firm, ethical rules for how we treat a colleague, a client, or a competitor. Today was a much-needed recalibration, a moment to test my worldly commitment against my spiritual integrity. I am deeply grateful to those who curate these spaces of reflection (Qatar Foundation). They remind us that while we work for a living, we must also live for a Purpose.
