Walking into Figma yesterday was instantly energizing. I attended the Make, Mingle & Mocktails: A Cozy Figma Makeathon, which turned out to be one of the most thoughtfully organized student events I’ve experienced. Getting hands-on with Figma Make was particularly exciting. As a student, discovering a tool that enables faster building while remaining intuitive and collaborative felt like a true creative unlock. The evening was filled with moments I truly appreciated: meeting students from various universities and backgrounds, enjoying thoughtful freebies, a great dinner, and spending time in the beautifully designed Figma HQ, a space that radiated creativity. It was also enlightening to hear about Figma Make from Rohit Chouhan and Stephanie Zhou, gaining insight into the thinking behind it. A huge thank you to Joanna Chen and the Figma for Education team for creating such a warm, cozy, and welcoming environment. I left feeling inspired, supported, and excited to continue exploring what’s possible with Make. Looking forward to more evenings like this. #Figma #MakeWithFigmaEdu #FigmaMake
