Speakers’ Event Recap On 20 November, we wrapped up our topic bloc on “The Weaponization of Trade: Sanctions and Tariffs” with a successful speakers’ event. We were honoured to welcome Dr. Stefan Brupbacher, Director of Swissmem, who delivered an insightful talk on the impact of U.S. sanctions and their implications for the Swiss technology sector. Following the presentation, participants engaged in a lively Q&A session before continuing the discussion at the apéro. This event was made possible thanks to the generous support of UZH Alumni, whose contribution enabled us to offer students interested in politics and economics a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of global trade dynamics.
