Lecturer & former CIO at Cornell University
Last week, I had the honor of speaking to two of Cornell's premier student clubs: Cornell Alpha Fund: Thanks to Angelina Gart, President, and Jason Orenstein, Executive Vice President, for inviting me. I enjoyed meeting the members and answering all of their thoughtful questions. Cayuga Capital: Thank you to Henry Beyrich, President, for extending the invitation to speak. The conversation was engaging, and the questions were insightful. Many of my current students in "Investments", which I am teaching in Cornell Dyson School of Applied Economics & Management this semester, are members in the two clubs. Cornell offers endless opportunities for students to engage in real-world activities outside of the classroom, and both of these clubs teach students the skills needed to help achieve their career goals. Now for the shameless plug ๐ : This academic year I am the Faculty Advisor for Cornell Equity Research. President Khanh N. leads a dedicated group of students in all facets of equity research. Khanh is committed to enhancing the education and training provided to members, facilitating their entry into the asset management industry. I would also like to extend my gratitude to last year's President, Kaleb Kavuma, for recruiting me! The weekly newsletter https://lnkd.in/dRxsekTc and semester publications https://lnkd.in/deqSdJ5g showcase the hard work and dedication these students have to their craft. Students interested in the investments industry can find valuable resources within these three organizations, and employers can discover a pool of talented individuals to join their teams.
