I build and lead at the intersection of people, products and AI.
On Monday evening, I had the opportunity to join a panel at the Women in AI Austria : Shaping #Trustworthy #AI in Media event in Vienna - together with Luzia Strohmayer-Nacif (APA) and Carina Rogl (ORF). A strong conversation, and a timely one. Three themes emerged as decisive for trustworthy AI in media: technological independence, organizational education, and a culture built on transparency. 1.) #Independent AI systems: Media organizations cannot rely on black-box systems and expect trust to follow. We need transparent, explainable and controllable AI-systems that we understand, that we can question, and align with our ethical standards. 2.) #Education and #AI #literacy: Technology alone does not build trust. People do. Teams need the confidence and skills to use AI responsibly - not in fear, but with clarity. AI literacy must become a core competence across the organization. 3.) #Transparency, internally and externally: Reliable media require visible processes - from data sources to AI usage. Only when independent technology, educated people, and transparent processes come together, AI can truly strengthen the media business. Thanks to Jacqueline Berger and Natalie Ségur-Cabanac for moderating this important conversation, to Regina Weinmüllner from Austria Wirtschaftsservice and special thanks to Julia Toifl from SQUER Solutions for being such an excellent host.
