Today I had my first interview for a UX internship. I knew it might be a little early to start my job hunting, but I wanted a reality check: How far have I come? How much can I challenge myself? What kind of people are companies looking for in 2025? What kind of questions do interviewers actually ask? One thing that surprised me was how much companies already use AI in different ways, even during the interview. It helps them capture what you say and when you say it, so you really need to be intentional and prepared about what you share. They also asked about each project I’ve worked on. I’m glad I created a portfolio. It really helped me summarise my thinking and show my design process. I was also positively surprised by how much I could actually perform, even though I only started studying UX this summer. This is truly thanks to our school’s practical education. I would like to say thank you, Henrik Ahlgren and Hans-Christian Stoltz, for the enriched learning experience. Even though the programme is only two years, each project pushes me out of my comfort zone and helps me grow in my career.
