Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the Malaysian Bar through various committees — from contributing to law reform discussions and professional development initiatives. Through these experiences, I have come to better appreciate the Bar’s vital role in safeguarding the integrity of the legal profession and the administration of justice. Having had the privilege of working with many committed members and mentors who have contributed tirelessly to the Bar, I felt it was time to take the next step — and offer myself as a candidate for election to the Bar Council. My vision is anchored in three core principles: Integrity. Independence. Innovation. 🔹 Integrity — to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards in everything we do. 🔹 Independence — to safeguard the Bar’s autonomy and independence from external influence. 🔹 Innovation — to ensure our profession continues to grow and adapt in a changing world. I believe in a Bar that remains principled yet progressive — one that protects the foundations of our independence while embracing new ideas to serve both the profession and the public. To my colleagues and friends at the Bar — I would be honoured to have your support. Special thanks to my proposers for their support of my candidacy: Nimalan Devaraja, Saiyidah Izzati Nur Bt Razak Maideen, and Sin Yew.
