As September is coming to a close, I wanted to reflect upon what made the eighth month as CEO of the Fresh Food & Beverage Group so special. September was indeed a month marked by decisive events and decisions, in which we set important course. It was a turning point, as it is becoming increasingly clear what the Group needs from us - and what we need from the Group - to be rightly positioned for the future. My warm thanks go to everyone who made this month so vibrant and successful! 🥐 100 Years of Migros – MERCI Fest The month started with a big celebration: 40,000 people (which other company does that while ensuring all services to its Consumers?) gathering in Mollis GL, fantastic concerts – my favorites Stephan Eicher, Joya Marleen and Hecht – and an atmosphere that reminded us all of Migros' unique history. It was a celebration of encounters and a wonderful and powerful start into this special month. 🍱 Offsite in Strasbourg – Strategy for the Future We worked intensively with the management team on our strategic roadmap: a culture map that sets the course on how we want to collaborate with each other and across the FFB-Group, an inspiring vision and mission that resonate deeply with each and everyone, a clear, "no fuzz" strategy, and a shared picture of success. Open exchange and mutual trust within the management team were key to setting the course for the future. 🧃Livestream and Management Day – Dialogue and Leadership We shared the results of the offsite with 700 colleagues and 150 managers. The positive feedback shows: We're on the right track. Leadership being a service to the company and its people, the management team gave place to questions, focused on opportunities and chances, and communicated simply, clearly, authentically. The openness, smiles, and personal dialogues with you during that day (even when confronted with the non-expected, thank you Doug Manuel) is both a reward and a boost for the future. Many thanks to all partners at the FFB-Group! Together, we are shaping the future of the Fresh Food & Beverage Group – and Migros.
