It is not always easy to know which path or flow to take generally, let alone when at the #IBC2025, but the high rise Bitmovin Innovators Network is always a good first step and one where you gain invaluable insight to enable you to peer into the streaming future or over the Amsterdam skyline. Hive Streaming has a growing number of partners who rely on the Bitmovin player and thus use our Bitmovin plugin, ON24, Videospace.io, GlobalMeet and StreamShark, so I was always going to be in attendance. As ever expertly overseen by Anastasia Ponomarenko and Brandon Zupancic, there were some great talks and panel discussions. The ones that particularly caught my attention being; Broadpeak’s Olivier Karra and Manuel Bergerot CMA CGM owned #RMC / #BMTV case study. Hearing CMOS Tango take on the Bending Spoons acquisition of Vimeo, the reasons and objectives behind such plays as well as Mark Peters’ future M&A predictions. Julian Wright’s Blue Lucy take on “AI: Hype or Hope” currently a real scramble to get out find and use anything that’s AI, whether it makes any sense or not. Let’s talk about it again next year. And especially the US based French « agent provocateur » Thierry Fautier - The Media League that don’t have the solution, but do know how to ask the tough questions - telling us that not 1 of the 5 consultancies he asked about AI could answer the simple Simon Sinek question of what works well and why? Great catching-up with James Broberg, Yudong Li, Michael DA SILVA, Daniel Négru, bumping into Stuart Barnes, Lionel Bringuier, Keith Chow and getting to meet Cameron Lowe, Paul Davies, Bruce Eicher, Craig Munro Morton and Markus Hafellner. Don’t just Live it, Hive Five it with Hive Streaming
