🌍 Digital identity is reshaping the world. 🇨🇭 In Switzerland, the decision is in the hands of the people. At the end of September, Swiss citizens will vote on a new electronic identity (eID) system. Three years ago, the country rejected a private solution. This time, the government is proposing to take responsibility for issuing and securing our digital identities. This is more than a technical reform. It raises questions that matter everywhere: 🔑 Who should control our most personal data? 🗳️ What role should citizens have in deciding the rules of the digital age? ⚖️ How do we balance convenience, privacy, and trust? From Geneva, I sat down with Dr Rolf Rauschenbach of the Federal Office of Justice to unpack what is really at stake in the vote: ✔️ Why the last law failed ✔️ How the new system works ✔️ What lessons Switzerland offers for other democracies 🎧 Listen to the episode here: https://lnkd.in/eGaK4fKj 👉 Whether you live in Switzerland or simply want to understand how digital identity debates are unfolding, this conversation offers a front-row seat. #Switzerland #eID #DigitalIdentity #Privacy #Democracy #Geneva #inSUBSTANTIA Mariana de la Roche Wills, Sandro Cattacin, Adriano D.
