Shared a meaningful evening with fellow professionals at The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) 67th Annual Dinner. It was encouraging to hear YB Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul speak about the evolving role and the importance of accountants. What really stood out to me was how often he mentioned transfer pricing — an area that I work closely with, and one that is clearly gaining attention. Always nice when the work we do behind the scenes gets the spotlight. I also enjoyed the conversations with Khoon Yean Soo Hoo, YBhg Datuk Peter Lim, Eileen Grace L., Soraya Sohaimi, fellow Young MICPA Task Force members, and many fellow professionals and friends in the industry. It is good to know that everyone’s doing well, and heartening to see the community growing stronger. And yes, we ended the night with some thoughtful cookies—each stamped with a catchy message. My favourite? 🍪 “Count on me.” Because as accountants, that’s what we do. The public can count on us to get the work done, with integrity and care.
