Congratulations to Professor Maheshi Ramasamy, recognised for her outstanding contributions to the fields of infectious diseases and vaccine research with ever increasing global reach, recently awarded the title of full professor in the University of Oxford Recognition of Distinction awards. Maheshi is a Principal Investigator in the Oxford Vaccine Group and her research interest is in adaptive immune responses to vaccines. She leads on early and late phase clinical trials in healthy adults, with a particular focus on enteric infections. Maheshi was PI for the Oxford/AZ COVID-19 trials, which led to the deployment of over 2 billion doses of this vaccine globally. Maheshi is also a Consultant Physician at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
